The South and south-western part of Cambodia is famous for its endless sandy beaches. Tropical water Gulf of Thailand have an average depth of about 35 m and maximum depth is 81 m, rich diversity of fish and various marine animals. Also in the territorial waters of Cambodia are 60 islands, 23 of which are in Koh Kong province, 2 in Kampot province, 22 belong to a special administrative unit of Sihanoukville, while 13 others off the coast of Kep city, most of which are uninhabited.
