From baguettes to frogs legs, there is a strong French influence in the culinary delights of Cambodia, due to their history. Also the Cambodians seem to have adopted a love for pizza, with restaurant chains such as ‘Happy Herb Pizza’ making up the hundred or so pizza restaurants and stalls around the country.
During a meal in Cambodia is often served in soup, along with other dishes. Fish National Product, and freshwater fish baked in leaves of lettuce or spinach, submerged in a spicy fish sauce, is considered a special dish. Salads seasoned with coriander, mint and balm three fragrance used in virtually all Cambodian dishes.
The French influence is traced in the baking of bread, platters of turtles and frogs' legs, which are sold in markets. Desserts include sweet rice cakes and fruit puddings. The most popular refreshing drink is soda water with lemon juice.
Short Title 2All over Cambodia you will find stalls and marketplaces selling the local culinary delights. In these food stalls you will find anything from grilled frogs legs, to fresh local fruit, skewers and spring rolls. The most common skewer you are likely to come across is called ‘golden sapek’ and is small chunks of pork tenderloin alternated with pork fat and slices of Chinese sausage all grilled on hot coals. Most dishes are served with nuoc mam, a fish sauce diluted with water and seasoned with chopped red chili.
Cambodia foods are mainly rice, fish, herbs and vegetables, and meat (chicken, beef, pork ), eggs, in the south of the country seafood. Of these components, is preparing a huge number of various dishes, among which the principal place, apparently to avert soups (not quite correspond to Russian notion of soups). Characteristically cooking on open fires different types of meat, including seafood.
